n chapter 3 I got to learn about the social responsibilities that an entrepreneur holds, ranging from mission, responsibility to those who they work with, sustainability in business, and community outreach.

To begin a business has a mission that helps them communicate who they are and what they do, along with how they are socially responsible. And most importantly communicate the overarching goal that dictates the way a company acts. Another important aspect of a businesses social responsibility is the actual responsibility they hold when it comes to the individual and consumer, being able to ensure a high quality product and being accountable for what you praise is key to having returning, trusting, and satisfied customers. An entrepreneur is also responsible for the employees who make the business run, by being respectful, honest, available, and attentive. Because in order to have a successful team you need to be able to communicate effectively and with care in order to create a palace where you care for one another and want each other to succeed. And at 2nd to last is caring and being communicative with your suppliers as you rely on them to provide you with the things to produce your final good or service. And at last with investors being honest, communicative, and taking their help to help improve your business and assure them that you are doing the right thing, and that their investment is secure. Businesses apart from that also have to be part and supportive of the community that surrounds them, by philanthropy where maybe money is donated to an organization or maybe the employers also participate in some community service activities.

My reflection after reading chapter 3, is that you are part of an ecosystem where your community/consumer needs you as much as you need them. And having a good relationship where you are providing support through philanthropy is a way in wich you maintain and grow relationships. And this relationship is not only with the community/consumer but also with planet earth, because you will always need it to provide you with resources, space, and air to live and produce your goods or services. And so you also have to pay your dues and respect by acknowledging your carbon footprint and then making changes to diminish it most importantly create a business that is socially sustainable.
