I was born in California, spent part of my childhood in Mexico, and grew up on the Central Coast. Leaving behind close family in Mexico was difficult, but it taught me adaptability, creativity, and open-mindedness values my parents instilled in me through their sacrifices.

 

As a Mexican-American, I’ve seen the challenges many students face. Inspired by my mom’s values and my passion for engineering, I co-founded Central Coast Youth STEM, which has introduced 400+ middle schoolers in Santa Barbara County to hands-on science projects like rocket building. I also enjoy creating new projects whether in school, at home, or through my next idea as a way to explore and innovate.
